APPLICATIONS FOR BARONS BUDDIES PROGRAM NOW BEING ACCEPTED

By Josh Evans, OKC Barons on 08/15/2012

The Oklahoma City Barons and Special Olympics Oklahoma are teaming again this season on their “Barons Buddies” program.

The Barons Buddies program allows a family involved with Special Olympics Oklahoma to be “adopted” by a player on the Barons roster. The team will host a series of events during the season that will bring all the families together for a fun night with their adopted player. In addition to participating in the three events, the families will be invited to the Barons home during the season.

Each of the last two seasons, the Barons have worn one-of-a-kind jerseys to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Oklahoma. Barons fans have come through and helped raise over $30,000 for Special Olympics Oklahoma.

Applications for the Barons Buddies program are now being accepted.
