ALUMNI WATCH: FEBRUARY 6

The Edmonton Oilers dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to the Dallas Stars Wednesday evening at Rexall Place. Of the 18 Oilers skaters dressed for the contest, nine have played for the Oklahoma City Barons at some point this season. Seven of those players have seen time in Oklahoma City during the 2012-13 season.

Barons forward Mark Arcobello played in his first NHL game, centering the Oilers’ top line between Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall. Arcobello logged 18 minutes, 15 seconds of ice time and registered two blocked shots of Edmonton’s 18 in the game. He also time on the power play.

Justin Schultz scored his third goal of the year at 7:38 in the third period while the Oilers were on the power play to tie the game at 2-2.

Eberle had three shots, while Hall had one assist on Schultz’s goal. Hall also had three shots on the night.  Teemu Hartikainen had two hits and one shot on goal.

Magnus Paajarvi had three shots and one hit. Anton Lander left the game after just three shifts with an apparent foot injury and did not return.

Ales Hemsky opened the scoring before the Stars took a 2-1 lead. Schultz's tally evened the score, but Jaromir Jagr scored at the 1:46 mark of the overtime period to give Dallas a 3-2 win.

The Oilers are back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT against the Detroit Red Wings.
