By Josh Evans, OKC Barons
The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, have assigned forward Mark Arcobello to Oklahoma City, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.
Arcobello, a 5-9, 165-pounder from Milton, Conn., was recalled by the Oilers on February 5. He skated in the Oilers game February 6 against the Dallas Stars. He logged over 18 minutes of ice time while centering a line between Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall.
He returns to Oklahoma City having scored 39 points (14-25-39) in 43 games. He is among the leaders in goals (40), assists (60) and points (100) in Barons franchise history. He recently represented the Barons at the 2013 AHL All Star Classic where he had three assists, including the primary assist on the game-winning goal with 12 seconds left to play.
Arcobello and the Barons return to action this weekend with two home games against the Grand Rapids Griffins. Friday is Concession Specials night with $1 hot dogs and $2 draft beers. Saturday is another Drive Away Every Saturday. One lucky fan will drive away in a Ford Taurus from John Vance Auto. Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. Both games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
