KELLER AND LENEVEU LEAD OKLAHOMA CITY TO 1-0 WIN OVER SAN ANTONIO

By Blake Colston, on 12/02/2011

Ryan Keller’s third period goal propelled the Oklahoma City Barons past the San Antonio Rampage 1-0 Friday night at the Cox Convention Center.

After two-plus periods of scoreless hockey Ryan Keller scored the only goal of the game. Marc Arcobello found Keller near the right-wing faceoff dot. He was able to shoot the puck through Rampage netminder Jacob Markstorm at the 8:31 mark. Triston Grant also assisted on the game winner. The goal for Keller was his seventh of the season and his fourth in his last seven games.

After pulling their goaltender with less than a minute to play the Rampage had two separate flurries which were turned away by the Barons and goaltender David LeNeveu.

The veteran LeNeveu stopped all 22 shots he faced on the night, notching the Barons third home shutout of the season. Each of the previous shutouts were posted by Yann Danis, October 16 against Houston and November 7 versus Charlotte. LeNeveu is now 3-0 in net against San Antonio this season.

The two teams will complete their home-and-home series tomorrow night in San Antonio. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. The game can be heard on AM 1340 The Game, online at Sportsjuice.com and on a pay-per-view basis on AHLLive.com
