The Edmonton Oilers continued preseason action Tuesday evening with a 3-2 loss at Winnipeg. Several players with Oklahoma City connections saw action in the game. Former Barons in the lineup included Cameron Abney, Mark Arcobello, Brandon Davidson, Anton Lander, Ryan Martindale, Linus Omark and Tyler Pitlick.

Winnipeg took a 2-0 lead after two periods and extended the lead to 3-0 in third before Mitch Moroz and Philip Larsen cut the lead to one. Despite pulling goaltender Richard Bachman with just over two minutes remaining, the Oilers were unable to get the equalizer as the Jets won 3-2.

Martindale earned an assist on Moroz’s tip-in goal at 16:31 of the third period. Martindale, along with Omark and Lander finished the evening plus-one.

The Oilers continue preseason action Wednesday evening, traveling to Vancouver to face the Canucks at 9 p.m. CT. Following Wednesday’s contest, Edmonton returns home for three straight preseason games before closing out preseason action on Friday, Sept. 27 against the Dallas Stars in the NHL Showcase presented by Mercy in Oklahoma City.
