BARONS FALL TO RAMPAGE, 4-2

The Oklahoma City Barons dropped a 4-2 decision to the San Antonio Rampage Saturday evening at the AT&T Center. Olivier Roy made his second start of the season and turned away 30 of the 33 shots he faced. Oklahoma City fell to 4-5-0-1, while the Rampage improved to 3-5-0-0.
Bobby Butler gave the Rampage the early lead with a power play goal at 4:39 of the first period. Butler beat Roy stick side to put the home team on top 1-0. The Barons got the equalizer at 15:21 as Matt Ford scored his third of the season. Linus Omark and C.J. Stretch earned the assists on the goal. San Antonio led in shots 11-8 at the first intermission.
The Rampage regained the lead just 18 seconds into the second period as Joey Crabb scored his first of the season. San Antonio stretched that lead out to 3-1 on Vincent Trocheck’s fourth goal of the year at 4:48. The Rampage out-shot the Barons 15-9 in the second period.
Taylor Fedun cut the lead to one 4:50 into the third period with his first goal of the season. Philip Larsen and Derek Nesbitt earned the assists on the power play goal. Trocheck added his second of the night, an empty-netter, at 19:17 to seal the 4-2 win for the Rampage.
San Antonio out-shot the Barons 34-27 for the game and each team scored with the man advantage.
Oklahoma City returns home this weekend with a pair of games against the Chicago Wolves. Puck drop both nights is 7 p.m. CT at the Cox Convention Center. Friday night is Barons Night with $2 beers and $1 hot dogs. Saturday night is Drive Away Every Saturday where one fan will drive away in a brand-new vehicle.
