WOLVES DOWN BARONS 6-3

The Oklahoma City Barons rallied from a 3-1 deficit to tie the score 3-3 in the third period, but the Chicago Wolves countered with three unanswered tallies in the final 12:24 of the game to beat the Barons 6-3 on Sunday at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.
The Barons wrap up a trip with a 1-3-0-0 record and head home to plays three games in three nights at the Cox Center starting Friday against Charlotte at 7 pm CST.
Oklahoma City drops to 18-13-1-3, while Wolves win the first of four meetings between the clubs to improve to 15-12-3-2.
The Barons opened the scoring with an unassisted goal from the right wing by Josh Green, who had a three-point game, at 4:27, but Chicago replied with a tying goal from Andrew Gordon from the right wing faceoff circle at 10:36.
The Wolves took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission on a point shot by Derek Joslin that was deflected by a Baron in front over Danis right shoulder.
Chicago out-shot Oklahoma City 18-16 in the first period, but the Barons continued a shot barrage in the second period with 16 more shots. Oklahoma City out-shot Chicago for the game 46-39.
The Wolves grabbed a 3-1 lead when Brad Hunt's point shot was saved by Danis but deflected off Alex Plante in front and into the net for a power play goal at 10:14. Oklahoma City matched that with Green's second of the game on a power play, converting an Anton Lander centering pass at 14:04.
The Barons tied it 3-3 at 3:14 of the third when Teemu Hartikainen put in a rebound of a Green shot. The goal moved Hartikainen into a tie with Colin McDonald for the franchise lead in career goals with 42.
Chicago scored the eventual winner when Brett Sterling raced up ice on a breakaway and beat Danis (13-10-3) at 7:36. Joslin's second of the game, a double deflection off two Barons, made it 5-2 at 13:04.Gordon concluded the scoring with an empty-net goal at 19:46.
Chicago goalie Matt Climie made 43 saves in improving to 7-11-1.
