TONIGHT: Fresh off a 3-2 win last night at Texas, where the go-ahead goal was scored by Tanner House with 14.6 seconds remaining, the Barons return home for the first of back-to-back games against the Chicago Wolves (Vancouver Canucks). This is the third of 4 meetings between the teams. The Wolves prevailed 6-3 on Jan. 6 and 3-2 in a shootout March 27 at Allstate Arena. OKC has won 4 in a row and is unbeaten in regulation in 6 straight at 5-0-0-1. The Barons are tied with Rochester for 6th in the Western Conference with 78 points. Chicago is tied for 8th with 75.

OFF THE TOP: The Barons bring a 6-game unbeaten streak into tonight, going 5-0-0-1 in that span. A win tonight would match the club record for consecutive games without a regulation loss, set during a 7-game winning streak Jan. 15-Feb. 2 of last season. Last night’s 3-2 win at Texas upped OKC’s franchise-record road unbeaten string to 8 games (7-0-0-1). OKC has standing points in 13 of the last 16 games, going 10-3-0-3. The Barons have allowed 3 goals or fewer in 10 straight games, going 7-1-0-2. OKC is the only Western Conference team to have won 7 of its last 10 entering tonight. OKC is 30-9-0-3 when allowing 3 goals or fewer in a game. Yann Danis has played all 8 games since returning from his latest stint with the Edmonton Oilers, going 5-1-2 with a 2.09 goals-against average and .917 save percentage in that time. Goaltender Niko Hovinen last played March 9 vs. Rockford. The last time a goalie other than Danis played was March 10 and 13 at San Antonio, when Olivier Roy, since loaned to ECHL Stockton, earned a pair of wins. Last night was the Barons’ 7th win this season when trailing by 2 or more goals, as Texas took a 2-0 lead 3:01 into the contest. OKC wraps the season series 8-3-0-1 against Texas.

SPECIALTIES: OKC did not have to kill a penalty last night, the second time in club history they were 0-for-0 on the PK. On Jan. 14, 2012, Abbotsford did not have a power play in a 2-1 win over the Barons at the Cox Center. The Barons have gone a season-high 8 straight games without allowing a power play goal, going 23-for-23 on the penalty kill in that span. OKC is 22-11-2-3 when scoring at least 1 power play goal and 12-4-1-0 when notching 2 or more. The Barons have the AHL’s top power play percentage, 21.5.

RAJALA’S STREAK STOPPED: Toni Rajala had a 5-game point streak (2 goals, 6 assists) snapped last night. Rajala, who has had 2 stints with ECHL Stockton this season, is tied with current Edmonton Oiler Taylor Hall for 4th overall in Barons scoring for the season behind Mark Arcobello (58 points) and current Oilers Jordan Eberle (51) and Justin Schultz. Rajala’s +16 rating is second on the team behind Martin Marincin’s +17. Rajala’s +12 rating in March was the league’s best.
