FIVE THINGS TO KNOW: JANUARY 9-11
By Cassie Gage, OKC Barons on 01/07/2014
Planning on attending the Oklahoma City Barons games Thursday, Friday and Saturday? Here are the five things you need to know.
Why are you playing Thursday, Friday and Saturday?
Thursday’s game against the Utica Comets was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but was moved back a day due to travel delays arising from inclement weather. The game will be played at 7 p.m. CT. Friday and Saturday’s games are being played as scheduled against the Charlotte Checkers.
Season seat holders may enter the arena at 5:45 p.m., while doors open for the general public at 6 p.m. Season seat holders may access the Blue Line Club beginning at 5 p.m. Menus can be viewed here.
What is the parking situation?
There is an event at Chesapeake Energy Arena Saturday night. Please refer to your parking booklet to know which parking garage you should park in. If you do not have a booklet, parking is available at the Cox Convention Center parking garage, Santa Fe parking garage and the Main Street parking garage, as well as other surface lots throughout the area. Check the Parking OKC website for more information.
What are the promotions for these games?
Thursday is a Winning Weekday. If the Barons win, you win a free ticket to the next Barons weekday home game. For information on this promotion, including ticket redemption, please click here.
Friday is Oklahoma Youth Hockey Association Night. Friday is also the return of Barons Night with $2 beer and $1 hot dogs from 6-8 p.m. The Ice Girls will sign autographs postgame on the upper concourse outside of The Edge.
Saturday marks the return of our Drive Away Every Saturday promotion. One lucky fan drives away in a brand-new Chrysler 200. The first 2,000 fans also receive a fleece helmet hat. There will be no floor hockey on Saturday as our community relations team gets ready to have you join us at WinterFest.
Are there any special offers at The Edge?
Fans receive 25-percent off hats Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights only at The Edge. Fans may also receive a free hoodie with the purchase of a jersey. The Barons are wearing the third jersey Friday and Saturday.
Fans who follow the Barons on Instagram can receive an additional discount. Look for the offer to be posted prior to doors opening on Saturday.
Join us for WinterFest this weekend!
Saturday marks the beginning of the Barons’ WinterFest. Click here for full details on WinterFest, including the youth outdoor game on Sunday at the Devon Ice Rink at the Myriad Gardens.
